Sundays · Mataderos' Fair
Mataderos is a Buenos Aires neighborhood. Its name is a consequence to the large number of Slaughterhouses which exists in this area. Being on the western edge of the city, it has been for a long time, the meeting point between city and the farm. Thus, since 1889 is considered the neighborhood of the "rural tradition."
That is why the city counselor declared it the "Neighborhood of the Argentine gaucho".
Since 1986, Mataderos’s Fair, has been an unique journey in the city, where you can find native crafts, but what is most exciting is to enjoy one of the country’s oldest traditions, including the folklore, the riders or the colts and dressage horse runs with rings. We will also see performances and traditional dances.
